“We note with satisfaction that the agreements reached in (the southern Russian city of) Sochi are being implemented,” Vershinin added.

Russian President, Vladimir Putin and Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a memorandum of understanding setting joint steps between the two countries to settle the situation in northeastern Syria.

According to the memorandum, Russian military police units and Syrian border guards will enter areas adjacent to the Turkish operation " Operation Peace Spring." (ILKHA)
