President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Tuesday, he strongly opposed the extension of the 120-hour pause in northern Syria accepted as part of an agreement reached with the U.S. to allow the withdrawal of the YPG/PKK members.

Speaking to reporters at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara before his official visit to Russian Black Sea city of Sochi, Erdoğan noted,"Turkey and Russia are in agreement regarding the elimination of terrorism."

Erdoğan is going to Russia upon President Vladimir Putin's invitation for a working visit. (ILKHA)
