The death toll was announced as 50 people before in an attack carried out by the Saudi-led coalition on a Houthi-controlled prison in Yemen.

The International Committee of the Red Cross announced that more than 100 people had been killed in the airstrikes.

At least 40 people were injured and are being treated at hospitals in the area following the attack in the city of Dhamar.

The Saudi-led coalition argued that the strikes targeted a drone and rocket production facility, while the Houthis announced that the targeted location was a building used as a prison.

The Red Cross also said they had visited people in custody earlier in the targeted building. (ILKHA)
