In Silvan, three families were involved in a gunfight, while 6 people were killed, including a woman, 14 others wounded.

The incident occurred in the village of Gökçe Tevek [Reşiké], in the rural area of Silvan, Diyarbakır, southeastern of Turkey.

According to the information, problems arose between the Poyraz family and the Tekin family for a yet unknown reason.

Gülşen Tekin, who was a bride in Poyraz family, went to her father's home. Witness said that armed fight broke out after the Poyraz family also went to the house of the Tekin family to take Gülşen back.

Members of the third family, the Narin family also went to support the Tekin family.

Aziz Narin 22, Gökhan Narin 20, Edip Oğras 22, Halise Narin, Süleyman Eleftoz and a person whose name has not yet been learned died in the gunfight.

The injured were taken to Dicle University Medical School, Gazi Yaşargil Educational Research Hospital, Salahaddini Eyyubi State Hospital, and Silvan State Hospital.

Numerous gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. Security measures have been taken in the village and an investigation into the incident has been launched. (ILKHA)
