Vladimir Putin canceled some of the special economic measures imposed on Turkey due to the downing of Russian Su-24 aircraft by Turkish F-16s on November 24, 2015, according to the document posted on the site on the Russian government's legal regulations.

Turkish citizens who have a service passport and a private passport will be able to make not only short-term business trips but also any visit to Russia without a visa, according to the decree signed by Putin, quoted Sputnik.

The decree stated that this practice would be implemented in accordance with the principle of reciprocity if Turkey takes similar measures against the citizens of Russia.

Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry to notify the Turkish authorities that the agreement between Ankara and Moscow on the removal of visas dated May 12, 2010, had been partially reinstated, and ordered the government to make its legal arrangements in line with that decree.

Russian leader Putin signed a decree on 6 February stipulating a visa exemption for Turkish citizens and Turkish truck drivers who will make diplomatic visits and business trips to Russia. (ILKHA)
