Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements to reporters about Mohamed Morsi who had been martyred in the junta court.
"I wish Allah mercy to our martyr," Erdoğan said, recalled that Muhammed Morsi has von 52 percent of the votes during presidency election and toppled by "tyrant" Sisi.
"I wish condolences to his family, his relatives, and the Egyptian people. The tyrant Sisi executed nearly 50 Egyptians," the president said.
Erdoğan stressed that the West remained silent for the execution of Sisi. "Unfortunately, while EU member countries were banning execution, they joined the meeting there by the invitation of killer Sisi in Egypt. It more than hypocrisy."
Turkish president underlined that it is impossible to understand that EU member states joined an international meeting in Egypt at a time when Egypt is running the execution mechanisms.
In another speech, he delivered a speech at an event in Istanbul titled "Cihannüma and Old Friends’ Gathering with the Spirit of 94", President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said: "I learned with grief that former President of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi, who had been overthrown by a bloody coup in July 2013 and then imprisoned by the junta, passed away."
President Erdoğan said, "We had a close friendship with him both before and after his election as president. The late Morsi had been tried and sentenced to death by putschist courts and he drew his last breath in a courtroom, which is the symbol of the oppression he and his people had been suffering for years. Oppressors may target the lives of the oppressed and may even kill them but they can never harm the dignity of their struggle."
"We and all Muslims will remember the late Morsi for the honorable struggle he put up till his last breath," President Erdoğan underscored.
"In our eyes, he is a martyr who lost his life while fighting for his cause. History will never forget those oppressors, who imprisoned him, threatened him with the death sentence and caused his death." (ILKHA)
