The Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas] called for a comprehensive national initiative to counter the policies of the occupation gangs and the efforts to annex the West Bank.
Abdul Hakim Hanini, one of Hamas leader, said in a statement on the subject that the condemnation has not been working against impositions policy of the occupiers.
Hanini said that the occupation of land and the expansion of Jewish settlements requires an official and civil-minded attitude from the Palestinians.
He noted that thousands of acres will be confiscated in the north of Ramallah, in the south of Nablus, new settlements in Selfit and Jerusalem have been announced. Hanini said the struggle against jewish settlements in the West Bank should be the priority of the Palestinian people and their groups.
Hanini said that the Palestinian people have been fighting against the wall of apartheid in Na-lin and Bel-in; people of Al-Han Al-Ahmer, Al-Muğayyir, Ra-s Kerker, Kefer Kaddum and so on have been fighting against the occupation; and that they can resist jewish settlement projects with effective public movements.
Hanini condemned the US administration's arbitrary decision to donate Palestinian territory to the occupation regime. Referring to the U.S. Ambassador David Friedman, who claims that the occupation regime has the right to annex the West Bank, Hanini has pointed out that the occupation regime has plans to implement with the support of the U.S. in the future.
Hanini said the Trump administration was part of a plan to liquidate the Palestinian cause and block the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. (ILKHA)
