"There were 73 fatal road traffic accidents in 39 provinces during the 9-day holiday," said Süleyman Soylu while added that 86 people lost their lives in these accidents.
Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, who visited the tradesmen at Bayrampaşa fresh vegetable and fruit market, made statements about the holidays of Eid al-Fitr.
"I followed the traffic during the Ramadan holiday. Death is destructive to us, even one man," said Soylu while provided information that 7.427 people died in traffic accidents in 2017.
Soylu stressed that people who die in road traffic accidents every year in Turkey that almost consists a population of a town, further added that the deaths in traffic accidents have decreased by 40 percent currently since 2019 thanks to precautions. (ILKHA)
