In February 2019 foreign trade deficit was 2 billion 134 million dollars with a 63.1% decrease compared with February 2018.
In February 2019, exports coverage imports were 86.4% while it was 69.4% in February 2018.
Seasonally and calendar adjusted exports decreased by 0.2%
Seasonally and calendar adjusted exports decreased by 0.2% while imports increased by 2.8% compared with the previous month.
Calendar adjusted exports increased by 3.4% while imports decreased by 16.9% compared with February 2018.
The main partner for exports was Germany, for imports was Russia
In February 2019, the main partner country for exports was Germany with 1 billion 225 million dollars.
The country was followed by the United Kingdom with 857 million dollars, Italy with 815 million dollars and Spain with 741 million dollars.
The top country for Turkiye's imports was Russia with 1 billion 577 million dollars. The country was followed by China with 1 billion 371 million dollars, Germany with 1 billion 347 million dollars and the USA with 842 million dollars.
The ratio of exports of high-tech products in the manufacturing industries was 3.4%
Foreign trade by technology intensity covers the manufacturing industries' products in the classification of ISIC Rev.3. According to the ISIC Rev.3, the ratio of manufacturing industries products in total exports was 94.2% in February.
The ratio of high-technology products in manufacturing industries was 3.4%. The ratio of manufacturing industries' products in total imports was 76.2%. The ratio of high-technology products in manufacturing industries' products was 15.7% in February 2019.
