A rise in the general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 0.16%, on December of the previous year by 1.23%, on the same month of the previous year by 19.67% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 17.93% in February 2019.

The highest monthly increase was 2.48% in health

In February 2019, the indices rose for education 1.64%, for food and non-alcoholic beverages 0.90%, for hotels, cafes and restaurants 0.87% and for transportation 0.71%.

The highest monthly decrease was 4.81% in clothing and footwear

In February 2019, the indices declined for miscellaneous goods and services 0.39%, for recreation and culture 0.37% and for communication 0.34%.

The highest annual increase was 29.25% in food and non-alcoholic beverages

Miscellaneous goods and services with 28.08%, furnishing, and household equipment with 27.59%, recreation, and culture with 20.43% and hotels, cafes, and restaurants with 19.79% were the other main groups where high annual increases realized.

The indicator for CPI having specified coverage (B) decreased by 0.15%

A decrease in CPI excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 0.15% and rises were realized in December of the previous year by 0.04%, on the same month of the previous year by 18.48% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 17.70% in February 2019.

In February 2019 within average prices of 418 items in the index, average prices of 29 items remained unchanged while average prices of 235 items increased and average prices of 154 items decreased. (ILKHA)
