Turkish Airlines announced that they will be moving from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to the new Istanbul Airport on April 6.
Moving to the new, which was planned before, was postponed several times.
Announcing through official twitter account, Turkish Airlines said all their scheduled flights at Atatürk Airport will be ended as of April 6th at 2.00 local time.
"All scheduled flights at Ataturk airport will end on April 6, 2019, at 02:00, and any previously planned flights will continue from 14:00 onwards from Istanbul airport on the same day."
The new Istanbul Airport, which is not yet fully operational, aims to reach 90 million passengers per year in the first phase.
If all phases of the airport are completed within a decade, it is aimed to provide travel to more than 300 destinations with an annual capacity of 200 million passengers. (ILKHA)
