Juan Guaido, who went to Colombia on February 22 despite the ban on leaving the country, toured countries in Latin America and returned to Venezuela 11 days later.

Guaido returned to Venezuela despite the arrest warrant, welcomed by his supporters. On Sunday, Guaido warned the Maduro's government that should anything happen to him, "it will be the last mistake they make," by pointing out to the US' intervention.

The United States, which had previously threatened the Maduro Government, also threatened the government for the free return of Guaido.

The president of the Venezuelan Supreme Court (tsj), Maikel Moreno, has been approving the ban on leaving the country until the investigation into Guaido has been completed, the ban on the disposal of property and the freezing of his bank accounts and other financial instruments owned by Guaido in the Venezuelan territory.
