The Palestinian Abdullah Walid al-Anceri, a citizen of Kuwait, who was approaching the world's championship, which was his only dream, joined the championship in Los Angeles, USA.
But when one of the zionist invaders came out of the drawing, Abdullah retired from the competition. "How can I meet a zionist whose existence I do not accept? Our stance is clear, there is no such thing as israel, it is Palestine," he said.
"Palestine's permanence is more important than the world championship"
Abdullah, who said he received extensive support not only from Palestine but also from the entire Islamic world, added he received support messages from the Islamic world and internationally.
"I didn't count on any of that. On the contrary, the only thing I took into account was Palestine's permanence. This is more important to me than the world championship," Abdullah said.
Underlining that the zionist occupiers have not recognized his country [Palestine] and therefore he retired from the competition, Abdullah said he thinks this retirement will further him. (ILKHA)
