A program was held by the Diyarbakır provincial Mufti in the historic Grand Mosque in the central city of Sur, due to the anniversary of the blessed holy birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The program, which was organized to mark the Mawlid Al-Nabi, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The citizens who came to the mosque with their families prayed and performed salaah for the interest of the Islamic world.
Ruhat Tunç, one of the citizens who congratulated the Mawlid Al-Nabi of the entire Islamic world, said that he would pray for the unity and solidarity of the Ummah.
"Our Prophet Muhammad and his birthday come to mind when we say Mawlid Al-Nabi," said Tunç
Stating that people should remember the Prophet every day, not just today, but today is a special day, Tunç said: The birth of our Prophet is precious and important to us as much as the birthday of a person you love. I will pray for the unity and solidarity of the Ummah tonight. I will pray that the Ummah will do what is worthy of it in every field."
"We will pray to our Muslim brothers"
Sedat Karataş, who expressed he is in the mosque to perform the Mawlid Al-Nabi with prayers, said, "Mawlid is the birthday of our Prophet. All Muslims are obliged to pledge allegiance to the Prophet [PBUH]."
Stating that he is in the mosque regarding the importance of the birthday of Prophet, Karataş added that he will pray for Muslims brothers in the world.
The other citizens who participated in the program recorded that Prophet Muhammad should be remembered not only tonight but also every day of the year. (Hamza Adiyaman - ILKHA)
