The fate of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who could not leave the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia, which he entered on October 2 in order to receive the documents for upcoming marriage, was announced.
The Saudi kingdom acknowledged that Khashoggi was killed in the consulate. The official statement claimed that Khashoggi was "killed as a result of a brawl".
However, the statement, made after 18 days, did not give any information about where the body of the murdered Khashoggi.
According to a report from Saudi officials, Khashoggi's body was delivered to a local collaborator for destruction.
They can be executed
Turan Kışlakçı, President of the Turkish Arab Media Association, evaluated the developments after the Saudis admitted the murder of Khashoggi.
Saying that there are 18 important names in custody, Kışlakçı said, "What's important right now is where and how the body is. We will hear these 18 people executed in the coming days. Among these 18 people, there are all 15 people, who came to Turkiye on the day of Khashoggi disappeared. I think they will sacrifice these people to save Prince Salman.'' (ILKHA)
