The scholars participating in the 3rd Scholars Meeting held at the Headquarters of the Union of Ulema made important warnings to the Islamic world and stated that the scholars should be united in order to Muslims gain power.

Scholars from Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Turkiye, who attended the 3rd Scholars Meeting in Diyarbakır held on October 13-14, evaluated the situation of the Islamic Ummah to ILKHA.

Mullah Abdullah Hamamurat, President of the Islamic Movement Party's Preacher and Irshad Association, stated that the wahdat should be established by addressing the functions of scholars in society.

Stating that he participated from Iraqi Kurdistan, Hamamurat said, "I would like to thank this community and Ittihad Al Ulema. They're doing a really nice event and program. May Allah be pleased with everyone who has contributed to this event. They are gathered for belief and Justice. This is also the purpose of the Ulema meeting. This meeting reminds us of the verse, "And hold fast to the rope of Allah, altogether, and do not become divided".

"No one can run the Islamic cause alone. This only happens in unity and solidarity. Just as an imam is running his mosque, he should be able to resist persecution and cruelty in Islamic lands. Today there are great problems in Islamic lands such as Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, and Yemen. The Islamic Ulema should try to resolve these problems by banding together."

Referring to the fact that the task field of scholars is not just their families or mosque, Hamamurat said: "Our scholars must work to reach the younger generation on every platform. As you know, social media is one of the important mass communication tools of today. Every scholar should fill the Islamic gap in social media by sharing sermons in social media. Scholars should not be afraid to explain the religion of Allah."

"If scholars work, there will be no trouble."

Behzadi Mevlai, who participated in the program from Iran Kurdistan and stated that the media should be used effectively on the way to spread Islam, said: "This meeting is very important. If the Ittihad Al Ulema can achieve unification, much can be done. If scholars work, there will be no trouble. There are two sides of the media. One is bad, one is good. A lot of things can be done if used in a good way. The scholars explain what is right and wrong. It will not work if the scholars keep themselves away. There are social media in every home. If social media is used well, good results can be achieved."

"Scholars must be strong on every platform"

Coming from Syrian Kurdistan, Mullah Said Suri said: "I'm staying in Turkiye for 6 years. This activity is very important. If the scholars work together, they can achieve success. If there is division, and no togetherness, the society will corrupt. The benefit of this meeting will be both for society and for scholars in the direction brotherhood. Scholars need to be strong on every platform. They need to show themselves in these areas in the economy, power, weapons, and the media."

"Scholars and preachers can media to spread Islam"

Reşit Taha Sığiri, a member of the World Scholars Association from Iraqi Kurdistan, said:

"This meeting is very important. If the scholars are strong and powerful, everything will be strong in Islam. When a person's heart is strong, his body becomes strong. Scholars are the heart of the ummah. If the scholars are strong, Muslims will become stronger. The media is a revolution. It is also a blessing from Allah. There are social media everywhere. There is accepting Islam in human nature. Scholars and preachers can use Islam to spread Islam. The enemies of Islam use the media well and threaten us. No matter what the disbelievers do, they cannot abolish Islam."

"This is a great message for unity and brotherhood"

Mullah Ahmet Kani Kurdesi, head of the Madrasah and Darul Hadith, who participated in the program from Kurdistan in Iraq, said: "The scholars of Kurdistan in four parts meet here thanks to Ittihad Ulema. This is a great message for unity and brotherhood. What is missing here needs to be removed. What is damaged in the madrasahs and the science nests should be solved. Scholars and preachers must work together. Each scholar must use social media actively. Whatever the society focuses on, the scholars should also concentrate on that area."

"The work of scholars is not only mosque and madrasah"

Muhammad Zaid Haznevi from Syrian Kurdistan said: "There is a lot of conflict and division in society. That is why we are holding this meeting. We are here to dispose of these divisions and disputes. Our aim is for the purpose of Islam. If the scholars do not work together, the society will be broken and more problems will arise. The head of society is scholars. The infidels and the enemies of Islam have occupied social media. They work against us for 24 hours. We need to work harder. The leaders of some countries have held scholars and do not allow them to carry out their duties. Scholars remain unaware of what is going on in society because secularists and leaders have imprisoned them into the mosques. However, that's not true. The work of scholars is not only mosque and madrasa. The scholars must be outside in order to overcome the problems. Secularists also know that if the scholars speak outside, the society will recover, but they won't allow it."

"We are gathering here to find a solution for our problems," said Mullah Khidir from Iraqi Kurdistan. "It should be done not only here, but also in Iraq, Syria, and Iran. Therefore, I hope that the new lessons come to the madrasahs. If the enemies are using the media day and night, we need to use it too."

"The corrupted Ummah will come to its senses with the unity of the scholars."

"I am a teacher in a madrasah in Batman," said Selime Kardas, who stated that the Ummah, which is corrupt and distanced from its values, would come back to its sense with the unity of the scholars.

"This program makes us very happy. This is an image that the Islamic Ummah is really waiting for," she added.

"There has really been a lot of division among the Islamic Ummah," she said and added, "This is a situation that would benefit us all. I hope it will be instrumental in the reunification of the Islamic Ummah. We have scholars who have participated here from all over the world, and I believe that if these scholars can agree on the principles they speak of today, we will be able to reach very good places as an Islamic Ummah. The subject of unity and togetherness that everyone agrees with here... is that the corrupt Ummah will come to an end with the unity of scholars."

The president of the Foundation for Scholars of Madrasah [MEDAV], Mullah Tayyip Elçi also mentioned two important elements that brought the society to the good and bad:

"These two elements: umera and ulema. Who is Umera? They are managers. In short, leaders in bureaucracy or politic. The second is the scholars. Those who rule society as power are umera, means leader and those who lead the society with mentality, knowledge, accumulation, culture, and civilization are Ulema, means scholars. Let's look at the second part because we're interested in the Ulema. Indeed, if we had engaged in what we call the class of science, if we would have done our duty in real terms, the situation of the Ummah would not be like this today." (ILKHA)
