Afghan Interior Ministry announced that 43 people lost their lives and at least 50 others were wounded in a suicide bomb attack on an election center in the capital Kabul.

The Ministry of Health spokesman Vahid Mecruh also said the attacker exploded the bomb that had placed near the crowd coming to register at the Kale-i Nazır election center.

As the walls of houses and workplaces in the region were severely damaged by the attack, the roads to the area were closed to traffic. No claim responsibility for the attack.

At the same time, at least seven people lost their lives and 10 others were injured in the explosion that broke out in a voter registration center in Baghlan north east of the country.

The voter registration for the parliamentary elections planned for October 20 in Afghanistan began on April 14. (ILKHA)
