Mullah Mehmet Şenlik, who states that gambling by the state is a sad and regrettable event in a Muslim country, cautioned that a victimized people were exploited again on the ground of "national gambling".
They narrate the evil of the gambling on one side, on the other side is being played by the state
Şenlik said: "It is the sad and regrettable event in a Muslim country that gambling is being played by the hand of the state. This activity, made in a generalized manner by the hands of the state itself, is 'national gamble.' Everyone knows that gambling is forbidden, pocket burning, and perish of family. The government announces it from the preachers' sermons. On the other hand, there is the advertisement for gambling for weeks. Even now, months before the New Year, people are encouraged with words such as 'we have put in such a lot of bonuses, there is so much luck and the winner is winning so much.' This sad situation makes us very upset."
"They have an eye on people's pocket"
Şenlik emphasizes that Muslim people are already victims because of their living conditions and that there are ways to be more economically disadvantaged with such organizations, advertisements, and incentives. "Is this not shame, is this not sin that they have an eye on people's pocket. It is very shameful that state passes over of this just because of e few coins of tax. No one has been pleasured with the win of gambling so far. Maybe the one who won lottery has lost its life. Those who won money from the National Lottery suddenly go crazy or backslides."
