17-year-old Habibe Aydin, who was seriously injured in the attack carried out by PKK with a bomb-laden vehicle on Bağlar district of Diyarbakir, lost her life in intensive care.

The family made a press conference together with Dicle University Chief Physician. Dr. Gökhan Kırbaş.

Habibe Aydin's older brother Mehmet Emin Aydin said that his sister was a close friend of Merve Ervan who also lost her life in the explosion.

Aydin, indicating that his sister went out to work in the morning, and said: "We were at home, the explosion was far from us. The violence of the explosion also caused a shake in our house. That morning my sister had promised to go to work with her deceased friend (Merve Ervan). I was afraid for her after the sound of the explosion in the morning. They told me that somebody bombed a school where my 10-year-old sister is in that school. But it wasn’t my sister’s school, it was the police school. My mother called me again and said, 'Let’s look for your sister'. We called her phone, she did not answer. I tried to call her friend and someone else answered. Then we understood the situation and we came to the hospital. My sister was first rushed to a private hospital as severely wounded, then transferred to the Dicle University Hospital. Anonymous entry was made because there was no identity on her. So, we waited for 8 hours in the surgery, the doctors called me to diagnose and said she had a brain hemorrhage. Her lungs were injured; the tube was fitted for breathing. She opened her eyes 10 days later, but then there was a sudden bleeding and we got news of death."

Aydin said that her sister loved her friend Merve Ervan very much who also lost her life in the explosion, and added "My sister was working in a textile workshop behind the police school. The explosion happened on the way to work. Her was the first injured from the parts of wall. They were friends who loved each other very much."

"My sister had dreams"

Expressing that they donated their sister's organs, Aydin continued: "Everyone wants to donate organs. We sincerely decided. My sister also hold on to life with blood. She had jaundice, she received blood donation. She will now give life to someone else with her organs. My sister had dreams. She wanted to do a lot of things like traveling, being happy, having fun and reading, and the possibilities were limited. People who do this are not human. I cannot find a word for the explosion. Some others save lives; some others kill for a purpose."

Habibe Aydın's father, Hacı Aydin, said with his daughter's organs other people would find cure, "My daughter stayed in intensive care for 11 days. Yesterday at 18.30, she lost her life. We donated to save the lives. We changed her blood when she was 2 months old. We donated an organ today. I hope her organs will save other citizens2 lives."

"The matter is not to pass the election threshold; it is to be beneficial to people"

Habibe Aydin's uncle, Mehmet Nezir Alphan, said that they were sad as a family, and continued "Habibe Aydın's family is a family with no financial status. Habibe was trying to get financial support for the house. She was injured in this explosion on her way to work. As family, we are all in sadness. Slaughtering a human being is slaughtering the whole humanity. To save a human’s life is to make live all mankind. Everyone's opinion is different. Whatever happens, it is wrong to hurt people. Good man is that who is good for people. The matter is not to pass the election threshold; it is to be beneficial for people, to give life to people. Those who fight for Kurdish people do not do it. This has nothing to do with the Kurdish issue. I think these things are non-Muslim work. The job of these forces is to serve for the west. They are doing the goal of someone else."
