In the continuing case that 10 people were martyred in the raid coordinated by terror regime Israel on the Mavi Marmara ship which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza on 31 May 2010, the court gave decision to ask the agreement is entered into the force or not that signed in 28 June between Turkiye and Israel.
IHH President Bülent Yıldırım said that, “I want a make a confession here. You haven’t heard this word from me during my 30 years striving. I want to share this reality with you. Our hands got weaker after this agreement. The first time we feel weak against Israel.”
IHH President Bülent Yıldırım in his speech, “my dear brothers, as you know the blockade is not lifted. Actually it is getting more cruelty in every passing day. We see that Israel take important steps to make the blockade legal. None authorities have accepted so far the blockade of Israel. But Israel with word games unfortunately made statement with the words of its council general that Turkiye has accepted the blockade within the last agreement they made with Turkiye.”
After this letter of agreement our hands got weakened
Yildirim said none of the power and political party in Turkiye can see the blockade as legal, “Also this agreement will never fix the relationship between Turkiye and Israel. The relationship breakdown is not only related to Mavi Marmara. We reject the Israel’s system which based on massacre, injustice and unfairness. Relationship with Israel which they are slaughtering Muslims without stopping will never get fixed. I want to make a confession here. You haven’t heard this word from me during my 30 years striving. I want to share this reality with you. Our hands got weaker after this agreement. The first time we feel weak against Israel.”
We will have no difference from them if we don’t stand against oppression
Çiğdem Topçuoğlu, wife of Martyr Çetin Topçuoğlu had a speech in the statement:
“The war between truth and falsehood has revealed again during the attack on us. In that day, those who were saying ‘you need to receive permission from the authority then got on the way’ showed their face with a different power in 15 July. There will be no difference from them if we do not stand against this oppression.”
I feel proud from my husband that he martyred
Topçuoğlu said that to deliver aid to Gaza she will ship out in Spain with women suchlike Mavi Marmara fleet, “Give me your blessings. I feel proud from my husband that he martyred. I feel proud to be on the ship on behalf of my country as represent women.”
The defendant's attorneys demanded that the case be dropped
Attorneys those represents Israeli commanders, said that one of the clause of the agreement is about this case and demanded that the agreement is entered into the force or not, if so then demanded that the case to be dropped.
Case attorneys objected
Attorneys of Mavi Marmara defendants have objected to the attitude of the prosecutor, “It is not something to be asked if it is entered into the force or not. We are talking about independent judiciary. Asking this, is dropping right to due process under the shade.”
The trial has been postponed to 19 October.
