Victims of conflict that happened in Diyarbakir Sur have bought a land with their own expense in Baglar district and constructed a building on it. Those victims made a statements to the press reacting  to municipality why it destroyed their building with the excuse of not having construction permit.

Residents of the destroyed building, first they wanted to make press statement in front of Baglar Municipality but they were not allowed to make their statement with the decision taken by Governorship under the State of Emergency. Then they made press statement in the garden of a building which was located to the next of destroyed building.

Yiğit, “Municipal crews and police officers who accompanied them have destroyed the completed building by saying so-called ‘destruction have decided’ before the court decision has finalized about the destruction of building. During the demolish process, there has been said to the demolish team also to officers that the destruction is an illegal order and they apply an illegal order but we got not solution and the demolish process has continued.”

There is no such a conscience “They do not have my ideology let’s destroy this”

Yiğit said that those who moved to this building were victimized from the conflict happened in Sur, “90% people who moved to this building are those their houses are destroyed in Sur. Those people have paid for here. There is no illegality in here. Illegality is available for everyone. ‘This one is ok because he has my ideology, this one not having my ideology lets destroy this’ there is no such conscience like this.”
