Based on the 2020=100 index, Agriculture-PPI showed a monthly decrease of 0.39% compared to the previous month, a 37.01% increase compared to December of the previous year, and a 46.90% increase on a twelve-month moving averages basis.
In specific sectors, products of agriculture, hunting, and related services saw a decrease of 0.41%, while products of forestry, logging, and related services increased by 2.16%. However, fish and other fishing products, aquaculture products, and support services to fishing experienced a decline of 2.17%.
Analyzing monthly changes by main groups, non-perennial crops increased by 1.68%, perennial crops decreased by 5.87%, and live animals and animal products saw an increase of 0.77%.
Among the subgroups, citrus fruits experienced the highest annual rate of change with a substantial increase of 212.94%. On the other hand, oleaginous fruits indicated the highest monthly rate of change, decreasing by 6.49%.
The report highlights the dynamic nature of agricultural prices in Türkiye, reflecting both seasonal and market-driven factors impacting different agricultural sectors. (ILKHA)
