The outbreak, which has spread to five regions, has seen a total of 4,850 suspected cholera cases.
In a statement, the GHS emphasized that the government continues its vaccination campaigns to curb the spread of the disease. So far, 41 individuals have been hospitalized in the capital city, Accra, due to the outbreak.
Cholera, caused by the Vibrio bacteria, is typically transmitted through contaminated food and water. The infection leads to severe diarrhea and significant loss of body fluids, which can be fatal if not treated promptly. (ILKHA)
