In a detailed statement, Yemeni security forces accused enemy intelligence agencies of attempting to disrupt Yemen’s solidarity with Gaza by targeting military forces and key leadership. The statement underscored their commitment to safeguarding Yemen’s internal security and warned of severe consequences, including the death penalty, for those found collaborating with U.S. or Israeli intelligence.
Security officials urged anyone involved with foreign intelligence to surrender to judicial authorities, assuring their ability to track and apprehend collaborators wherever they may be.
As part of their operations, Yemeni forces disclosed that several collaborators, recruited by Hamid Hussein Fayed Mujalli—a fugitive wanted for espionage—were arrested in recent days. These individuals were allegedly tasked with intelligence missions, such as identifying the locations of missile forces, drones, naval forces, and other military installations.
Other missions reportedly assigned to the collaborators included gathering intelligence on missile and drone experts, monitoring laboratories and launch platforms, and tracking the movements of vehicles used in military operations. They were also tasked with identifying naval force positions, armed forces’ camps, and weapons depots.
In a significant revelation, Yemeni security forces stated that some collaborators attempted to locate and gather information on Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement.
The security apparatus expressed gratitude to citizens for their vigilance and cooperation and called on the public to report any suspicious activities. Officials pledged to disclose more details of the espionage operations once their investigations are complete.
This incident follows an earlier revelation in June, where Yemeni security forces uncovered an extensive espionage network allegedly operated by U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies. The network had reportedly infiltrated various institutions in Yemen since 2015.
The security forces reiterated their determination to protect Yemen’s sovereignty and emphasized the importance of public support in their ongoing efforts. (ILKHA)
