The helicopter, which was taking off from the Muğla Training and Research Hospital, collided with the fourth floor of the building before plummeting to the ground, according to a statement from the Turkish Health Ministry. The victims included two pilots, a doctor, and another medical worker.

Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık confirmed that the crash occurred during heavy fog, which is believed to have contributed to the accident. "The helicopter struck the hospital building and then crashed. Fortunately, no one inside the building or on the ground was injured," he said.

Emergency teams quickly responded to the scene. Footage from the crash site showed debris scattered outside the hospital building, with ambulances and rescue personnel working in the area.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. The incident has highlighted concerns over the challenges of operating emergency flights in adverse weather conditions. (ILKHA)
