The al-Quds Brigades and al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, two prominent Palestinian factions based in Nablus, successfully repelled the Israeli assault, inflicting heavy losses on the invading forces.

Israeli forces, attempting to storm the city to facilitate access for settlers to the nearby Joseph’s Tomb, were confronted with intense gunfire and explosive devices from Palestinian fighters. Despite their numerical and technological superiority, the Israeli military was unable to break through the determined resistance and was compelled to withdraw after several hours of clashes.

As tensions rise, Israeli occupation forces have continued their raids across the West Bank, targeting the villages of Halhul, north of Hebron, and Burqa, east of Ramallah. These raids are part of a broader campaign to suppress Palestinian resistance, but the latest setback in Nablus highlights the growing strength of the Palestinian resistance movement.

The Israeli escalation comes on the heels of a tragic incident in the village of Sir, southeast of Jenin, where four young Palestinian men were killed by Israeli gunfire during an assault on the village. The victims—Montaser Jalal Aziz Naim, Ismail Mohammed Ismail Abu Rob, Wael Hassan Lahloh, and Abdel Salam Nabih Abu Rob—are among the latest martyrs in the ongoing struggle against Israeli occupation.

These developments underscore the resilience and determination of the Palestinian people as they continue to resist occupation, despite the overwhelming power of the Israeli military. The resistance fighters in Nablus and elsewhere in the West Bank remain steadfast in their commitment to defending their land, their people, and their rights. (ILKHA)
