The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other groups emphasized that the Israeli occupation’s acceptance of the agreement without securing its objectives dealt a significant blow to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ambitions for reshaping the region.
Hamas declared that the ceasefire’s success was rooted in the resilience of the Lebanese Resistance and the unwavering support of the Lebanese people. The group expressed confidence in the "Axis of Resistance" continuing to bolster the Palestinian cause through all available means. Hamas also reaffirmed its willingness to engage with ceasefire efforts in Gaza, provided they align with national agreements.
Ziyad al-Nakhalah, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), praised Hezbollah’s steadfastness and sacrifices in a message addressed to Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General. He highlighted the shared struggle between Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance movements against common adversaries, including the United States and its allies.
Al-Nakhalah paid tribute to the Lebanese people and Hezbollah’s fallen fighters, stating that their sacrifices had strengthened the Resistance’s resolve. Quoting Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, he concluded, “We are never defeated! We either achieve victory or victory.”
PIJ officials described the ceasefire as a "momentous" victory for the Lebanese and regional Resistance. Ihsan Ataya, a member of PIJ's Political Bureau, underscored the resilience of the Lebanese people in compelling the Israeli occupation to back down. He framed the ceasefire as a triumph for Gaza as well, asserting that the sacrifices of the Lebanese Resistance had profoundly impacted the Palestinian cause.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement praised Hezbollah’s resilience and its ability to deliver "heavy blows" to the Israeli occupation. They called for greater Arab unity to confront what they described as Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza.
Similarly, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) emphasized the unity of struggle against Israel, lauding Hezbollah’s support for the Palestinian people. The PFLP called on the Arab world to mobilize against Israel’s aggression and fulfill its duty to defend Palestine.
Across various factions, there was a common theme: solidarity and mutual support between the Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance movements. The shared sacrifices and steadfastness of the Lebanese people and fighters were repeatedly cited as critical to the success of the ceasefire. Resistance leaders pledged to continue their efforts to confront Israeli aggression and uphold the Palestinian cause. (ILKHA)
