According to local sources, an Israeli quadcopter dropped a bomb on Dr. Abu Safiya’s office immediately after he had left the operation room, injuring him in his left leg.
Dr. Abu Safiya was rushed to the hospital's intensive care unit, where he is receiving painkillers. However, due to the ongoing siege and repeated attacks on the hospital, the facility currently lacks the necessary medical specialists and surgeons to properly treat his injuries.
Medical sources have raised concerns that Dr. Abu Safiya’s condition may deteriorate due to the inability to fully assess and treat his injuries. Despite the circumstances, Dr. Abu Safiya vowed to continue his humanitarian work. "The occupation army targets everyone, but this will not deter us from continuing our humanitarian mission. We will continue to provide this service no matter what happens to us," he said following the attack.
The bombing of Kamal Adwan Hospital is part of a broader pattern of Israeli airstrikes targeting medical facilities in Gaza, which have been under heavy siege for weeks. (ILKHA)
