The discussions, held at the Ministry of Defense, centered on enhancing bilateral relations, promoting economic cooperation, managing borders, encouraging investment, and addressing other areas of mutual interest, according to an official statement from the ministry.

During the meeting, Mawlawi Mujahid highlighted the importance of China as a “good neighbor and vital partner” for Afghanistan. He assured the Chinese delegation of the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to fostering collaboration in the discussed areas, emphasizing the potential for mutual benefits in economic and security sectors.

The Chinese delegation also met with Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, earlier in the day to further discuss bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

These engagements underscore China’s continued interest in deepening ties with Afghanistan and addressing shared regional challenges, including border management and economic development. (ILKHA)
