The president boarded a private plane from Esenboğa Airport in Ankara, accompanied by his wife, First Lady Emine Erdoğan, and a high-level delegation. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, and other officials were present to see him off.
The Turkish delegation traveling with President Erdoğan includes Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Foreign Policy and Security Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
During the two-day summit, which begins on November 18, leaders from G20 nations will convene to discuss global economic challenges under the theme “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.” President Erdoğan is expected to hold bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
The G20 Summit will focus on key topics, including economic recovery, climate change, and sustainable development, with Turkey set to play an active role in discussions. (ILKHA)
