The attack targeted a residential block near the Salim Abu Muslim Mosque, and survivors report that many civilians remain trapped under the rubble.

In a social media statement, Gaza’s civil defense service described the attack as a "new massacre" and called for urgent assistance. However, responders face severe limitations, as the northern Gaza governorate currently has no civil defense or medical resources due to the ongoing blockade.

This incident follows another deadly strike on Tuesday morning when Israeli warplanes bombed a five-story apartment building in Beit Lahia housing approximately 150 displaced residents. This earlier attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 93 civilians, with dozens more injured or missing.

These repeated strikes come amid a deteriorating healthcare crisis in northern Gaza, where the health infrastructure has collapsed under the weight of ongoing hostilities and a tight blockade, limiting access to essential medical care and emergency assistance. (ILKHA)
