The report marks a significant escalation, with 76 airstrikes recorded over the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of Israeli strikes since the conflict began to 11,161.
The Lebanese Public Health Ministry confirmed that 19 people were killed and 108 injured in the last 24 hours. This latest data increases the total casualties to 2,653 killed and 12,360 injured since the onset of hostilities.
To cope with the ongoing displacement crisis, 1,108 shelters have been established nationwide, though 931 of these facilities are now at maximum capacity. The escalating violence has forced 189,169 individuals (42,907 families) to seek refuge in official shelters, with the highest numbers concentrated in Mount Lebanon and Beirut. Actual displacement numbers are likely much higher due to unregistered families seeking informal shelter.
The report also noted significant cross-border movement due to the hostilities, with Lebanese General Security reporting that between September 23 and October 26, 349,796 Syrian nationals and 159,148 Lebanese have crossed into Syria.
This latest emergency report underscores the urgent need for humanitarian aid and international intervention to address the escalating crisis. (ILKHA)
