Speaking at a ceremony in Hatay, where new homes were delivered to residents displaced by the February 2023 earthquakes, Erdogan expressed concern over Israel’s aggressive posture and warned against further escalation.

“Israel’s current approach, driven by a dangerous mindset, will achieve nothing but destabilization,” Erdogan stated, adding that Türkiye would not fall into what he described as a "trap set by Israel and its allies." He extended support to Iran, Türkiye’s neighbor, and condemned the attack, saying, “I extend my best wishes to our neighbor Iran and the Iranian government, who were targeted by Israeli aggression last night.”

Erdogan underscored the risks of escalating violence, urging all parties to exercise restraint to prevent the outbreak of a broader regional conflict. He also called on the international community to consider the destabilizing implications of Israel’s actions, emphasizing the potential threat to regional stability.

During the ceremony in Hatay, Erdogan also focused on Türkiye’s ongoing recovery efforts, reiterating his government’s commitment to support and rebuild communities affected by the February earthquakes. (ILKHA)
