The theme for this year's events is "Youth and Gaza: We Walk with Our Values," reflecting solidarity with the people of Gaza amid ongoing Israeli genocide.

The final event will feature speeches from HÜDA PAR Batman MP Serkan Ramanlı and Youth Branch President Murat Günaydın.

The Youth Week, which traditionally includes a variety of youth-focused activities, took on a more solemn tone this year in light of the situation in Gaza. Nasrullah Demir, Head of HÜDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Youth Branch, explained that the shift in focus was meant to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and to emphasize the values of empathy, compassion, and awareness among the youth.

“As youth, we cannot lead a life far from conscience and compassion, basic values, and humanity,” said Demir. He added that the youth week was dedicated to showing support for the young people of Gaza, many of whom have suffered under the ongoing violence. “There are young people, children, women, and the elderly who are being massacred in Gaza. We are organizing these events to show that we stand with them and to raise awareness among our peers about the genocide being committed there.”

The final event in Diyarbakır will take place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring a series of speeches, theater performances, music, a painting exhibition, and other activities. Demir extended an invitation to all young people in Diyarbakır to participate and show their support for Gaza. “We want to increase solidarity, empathy, values, and awareness among young people about Gaza,” he said.

Throughout the week, HÜDA PAR organized various activities across several provinces, including debates, youth meetings, sports activities, cinema events, book analyses, and morning prayer sessions, all connected to the theme of Gaza.

The final event is expected to draw a large crowd and conclude what has been a meaningful week of solidarity and reflection for the youth involved. (ILKHA)
