The suspects are accused of stealing personal data from thousands of people worldwide and selling it to individuals, including terrorist organizations.

MIT's investigation revealed that the suspects were using social media platforms to sell stolen data, which was then used by organized crime groups to blackmail citizens, particularly youth and children. The operation also led to the closure of 18 websites involved in the data trade.

The arrests are part of MIT's ongoing efforts to combat cyber espionage and cyber terrorism in Türkiye. The organization has been actively working to dismantle cyber threat networks and implement preventive measures to protect national cybersecurity. (ILKHA)
