According to Israeli media, the strike targeted a military camp belonging to the Israeli military's Golani Division late Sunday night.

The explosion, caused by a kamikaze drone launched from Lebanon, occurred at a barrack in Binyamina, a district south of Haifa. Reports from Haaretz suggest that at least 40 soldiers were killed and over 60 others injured in what has been described as one of the deadliest drone strikes against Israel by Hezbollah in the past year.

While some conflicting reports indicate that three soldiers were killed and 67 others injured, the scale of the attack marks a significant escalation in tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. The targeted military base is part of the Golani Division, one of Israel's most renowned infantry brigades.

Israeli authorities have yet to release an official statement on the attack. (ILKHA)
