German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to visit Türkiye on October 19, according to a statement by German Government Deputy Spokesperson Wolfgang Büchner.

Chancellor Scholz will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul. Following their meeting, a press conference will be held to address the outcomes of their discussions.

Deputy Spokesperson Büchner emphasized that the meeting will cover a range of critical issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and regional stability in the Middle East, as well as migration and economic cooperation between Germany and Türkiye. (ILKHA)
