In a statement issued on Wednesday, the embassy denounced the baseless claims as an attempt to distract public attention from the UK's role in supporting the Israeli regime's aggression and genocide in the region.

On Tuesday, Ken McCallum, the director general of the UK's Security Service (MI5), alleged that Iran was behind a series of plots on British soil. However, the Iranian embassy noted that McCallum failed to provide any concrete evidence to substantiate his "delusional allegations" regarding threats to individuals opposed to the Islamic Republic in the UK.

The embassy urged the British government to use its influence to pressure the Israeli regime to cease its aggression in the region rather than resorting to baseless accusations against others. (ILKHA)
