During their discussions, Assad and Araghchi focused on strategies to halt Israeli aggression against Lebanon and provide assistance to the Lebanese people at both the grassroots and official levels.
Prior to this meeting, Araghchi had also conferred with his Syrian counterpart, Bassam Sabbagh.
Upon his arrival in Damascus, he emphasized the purpose of his visit, stating: “My goal in the trip to Damascus is to continue consultations about the developments in the region.” (ILKHA)
