In a statement, the unit also revealed that more than one million people have been displaced as a result of the conflict, with 155,600 of them now registered in emergency shelters.
The Israeli raids, which have been described as the "most violent and extensive" since the aggression's escalation, have been ongoing since September 23. According to Lebanese authorities, earlier attacks had resulted in 1,073 deaths, including children and women, and the injury of 2,955 others.
The surge in violence has prompted widespread concern as the humanitarian crisis deepens, with international organizations calling for an immediate ceasefire and greater protection for civilians caught in the crossfire. (ILKHA)
