In a statement, the Brotherhood called on Arab and Islamic nations to support Lebanon in the face of escalating Israeli aggression.
"We denounce the barbaric actions of the Israeli enemy against Lebanon and the targeting of Lebanese resistance leaders who have stood in solidarity with Palestine," the Muslim Brotherhood said. "This includes the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah."
The Brotherhood expressed its condolences to Hezbollah, the Lebanese people, and the Lebanese government for the loss of these leaders, emphasizing the importance of unity in the face of Israeli occupation. The statement reaffirmed the group's belief that resistance to Israeli occupation is the duty of every Muslim, and called for continued support for Palestine.
The organization further noted the broader regional impact of Israeli actions, condemning the regime’s escalating aggression beyond Palestine, citing attacks in Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq. "The conflict threatens to explode across the Middle East, endangering lives and property," the statement warned.
The Brotherhood urged regional governments to take decisive action against Israel, advocating for political, economic, and military deterrence to curb further attacks. "The enemy continues its terrorism without fear of punishment," the group said, adding that the international community must hold Israel accountable for its actions.
The statement concluded with a call for Arab and Islamic countries to stand by Lebanon, urging them to take a united stance against Israeli aggression. (ILKHA)
