In a statement posted on social media platform X, Erdogan expressed grave concern over the loss of Lebanese lives, including children, as a result of what he described as "brutal attacks" by Israeli forces. He criticized the international community for its inaction, accusing world powers of enabling Israel’s aggression through ongoing "weapons and ammunition support" to Tel Aviv.

"Israel’s policy of madness, which we have already witnessed in Gaza and Ramallah, is now extending to Lebanon. This must not be allowed to spread further across the region," Erdogan stated, adding that no person of conscience could justify or legitimize the "massacre" taking place.

The Turkish president called on global organizations, especially the United Nations Security Council and human rights groups, to take immediate action in response to Israel’s continued military escalation. He also urged the Islamic world to adopt a firmer stance against Israeli aggression.

Reaffirming Türkiye’s support for Lebanon, Erdogan pledged that the Turkish government will continue to stand with the Lebanese people and their government during these challenging times. He offered his condolences to those affected and condemned Israel's "inhumane attacks," wishing a swift recovery to the injured.

Erdogan's comments come amid escalating tensions in the region, with fears of broader conflict as Israeli military operations expand beyond Gaza into neighboring Lebanon. (ILKHA)
