The strikes have sparked widespread destruction, prompting Lebanon's government to call for international intervention to stop the escalating violence.

In response to the situation, the Ministry of Health instructed all hospitals in southern Lebanon, Bekaa-Hermel, and Nabatieh to prioritize the treatment of those injured in the strikes and to delay all non-emergency surgeries.

The Israeli air raids targeted several towns and villages across southern Lebanon, including Zibqeen, al-Khiam, Taybeh, Deir Seryan, and Wadi al-Hujair. Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the south reported that one airstrike hit a residential house in Naqoura, with ongoing efforts to rescue survivors. Further strikes were reported in al-Bayyada, Tyre district, and westernmost Zibqeen.

Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned the attacks, calling them "genocide" in a cabinet meeting on Monday. Mikati urged the United Nations, Security Council, and influential global powers to intervene and "stand on the side of justice" to halt the Israeli aggression.

Meanwhile, Mesbah al-Ali, the Lebanese Minister of Information's advisor, reported receiving a voice recording with threats against the ministry’s offices, highlighting the seriousness of the ongoing conflict. Al-Ali assured that Lebanon's response would be through diplomatic and international channels.

The relentless Israeli strikes have caused devastation in numerous southern Lebanese villages. Four martyrs, including two children, were transported to Tebnin Hospital alongside 26 injured people, four of whom are in critical condition.

In addition, the Nabatieh district suffered losses as Israeli raids targeted an industrial facility in Toul, resulting in three deaths and three injuries. In Saida, residential buildings in Babliyeh and Sarafand were hit, injuring multiple civilians. The Mashghara Heights in the West Bekaa were also bombarded.

According to Lebanon’s official news agency, over 80 airstrikes were conducted in southern Lebanon within just 30 minutes, marking a severe escalation in the Israeli military campaign. (ILKHA)
