The attacks are part of the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza, which has been escalating since October 7, 2023. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the bombardment has so far resulted in the deaths of 41,431 Palestinians, with 95,818 others injured, many of whom are children and women. Thousands more are missing and believed to be trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
