The statement was made during a meeting with Qatari and Egyptian mediators in Doha on Wednesday.

Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Egypt's intelligence chief, Abbas Kamel, were present during the discussions.

Hamas confirmed that its negotiation team expressed to the mediators that the movement views the ceasefire positively, provided it includes the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

"We gave our response to the mediators and are interested in further mediation to reach an agreement," Hamas stated, affirming its commitment to the terms discussed without introducing new demands.

The movement also stressed its opposition to any external projects concerning the post-ceasefire period, asserting that the future of Gaza is strictly a Palestinian issue.

Hamas further welcomed the idea of a comprehensive national dialogue with all Palestinian factions to develop a unified approach in addressing the aftermath of the conflict and strengthening national unity. The group also praised the continued efforts of Qatar and Egypt in mediating the ceasefire. (ILKHA)
