The strikes, which targeted the city late Sunday, also left at least 43 people injured.

Earlier reports from Syrian state media indicated that five civilians were killed, with 19 others wounded.

However, the updated figures show a significant rise in both deaths and injuries as the aftermath of the strikes becomes clearer.

Local sources in Syria reported that the Israeli regime launched 15 airstrikes on the northern and eastern regions of the country. The attacks caused extensive material damage, with Syrian air defenses reportedly attempting to intercept some of the missiles.

This is the latest in a series of Israeli strikes on Syria since October 2023, as Israel continues to escalate tensions in the region. (ILKHA)
