The shooter, who was identified as a truck driver arriving from Jordan, was martyred by Israeli occupation forces.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the officers were security personnel affiliated with the Israeli crossings authority.

Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth detailed that the perpetrator had hidden a gun in his truck and opened fire in the joint unloading area, shooting the Israelis at point-blank range.

Following the attack, Israeli forces reportedly assaulted Jordanian workers and truck drivers at the crossing, subjecting them to beatings and strip searches.

In response to the incident, Israeli occupation authorities closed the Karameh crossing, halting the movement of travelers in both directions between Jordan and Palestine. Further investigations are underway as the situation continues to unfold. (ILKHA)
