In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesman for Afghanistan's interim government, criticized the Israeli regime for its disregard of international laws and principles, accusing it of violating the sanctity of Al-Aqsa, the first Qibla of Muslims.
Fitrat emphasized that the Islamic Emirate recognizes the entire territory of Palestine, including Al-Aqsa, as the rightful property of the Palestinian people. He condemned any occupation of Jerusalem by Israel as illegal and contrary to historical and religious facts.
The statement also urged Islamic countries, international organizations, and world leaders to take a stand against the illegal and brutal aggression of the Israeli regime. The Afghan government called for an end to the violence in Gaza and denounced the proposed construction of a synagogue in Al-Aqsa as a violation of sacred sites and international principles. (ILKHA)
