Russian air defenses intercept Ukrainian drone over Kursk region

Russian air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was attempting to target Russian territory.

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 25, 2024, in the Kursk Region, according to a statement released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry said that the Ukrainian drone was detected and neutralized around 12:40 p.m. Moscow time (9:40 a.m. GMT).
