In an official statement, the Directorate addressed the rumors, stating: "Recent media reports suggesting that patients suspected of having monkeypox have been quarantined in Ankara are incorrect. We assure the public that no patients with monkeypox are currently quarantined in any of our healthcare facilities."

The Directorate emphasized that updates regarding monkeypox are being communicated transparently by the Ministry of Health, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu. They urged the public to rely on official information and not to spread or believe in unverified rumors.

"Official statements should be considered," the Directorate added. "We are committed to providing accurate information and encourage citizens to disregard baseless rumors that contribute to unnecessary panic."

This response comes amid increasing concerns and misinformation about monkeypox in the Turkish capital. (ILKHA)
